The Missoula Folklore Society is a Montana 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. The activities of the Missoula Folklore Society rely on our dedicated membership. Members donate thousands of volunteer hours each year to help produce our events and enrich our cultural community.

Join us and get discounts on all dances and other events, and meet a great group of folks! Membership is inexpensive and easy. Click here for more information.

MFS events include contra dances, concerts, shape note singing, and music jam sessions. We welcome singles and couples to our bi-weekly Contra Dances, October through May. All dances are taught from scratch, no experience (or partner) is necessary, although it's helpful to know your "right" from your "left." But if you don't, come anyway!
