Dance Schedule

Contra Dance at the Elks Lodge

1st and 3rd Saturdays, Oct - May
See Contra Dance Calendar below!
English Country Dances happen on the 2nd Friday of every month.  More info here.

College students and MFS members are $5!  High School students and kids under 18 are FREE!  Regular admission is $10. Elks Lodge (2nd floor),
112 N Pattee St.

No experience necessary -- dances are taught from scratch and prompted by a "caller" to live fiddle music!

Singles, couples, students (K - college), and families are all welcome!

MFS members receive discounted admission; join today and support Missoula contra dancing.   Please bring soft soled, indoor shoes to dance in and protect the beautiful wood floor.  (Full vaccinations are requested; masks are suggested but neither is required.)
Contra Dance Cal

There are folks in our community that are scent-sensitive.  Please avoid heavy perfumes and heavily scented products when you are preparing for the dance.
Please bring smooth, soft-soled, non-marking shoes to wear at the dance, i.e. not your outdoor shoes.  Shoes with a leather sole work well because they slide easily.

Parents: Children are welcome at this family friendly venue but they must be supervised as we do not have dedicated childcare. Contra dancing is an activity for adults and children (6 and older) who are able to dance independently and follow the caller's instructions. For the safety and enjoyment of all, please ensure that your children under the age of 6 stay off the dance floor and remain in the designated area. We encourage you take turns with other parents to provide supervision so that all get a chance to dance some of the time.
